Arsenal received very sad news from Ben White

Arsenal defender Ben White has undergone knee surgery, which is sure to worry Mikel Arteta and Gunners fans.

Ben White, 24, a regular starter for the Gunners at right-back, has been struggling with pain for weeks. The former Brighton star missed games against Leicester City, PSG and Southampton before returning to action against Bournemouth and Liverpool in October.

He was recently left out of the starting line-up for the game against Newcastle, although he started the 1-1 draw with Chelsea last weekend, but the decision has been made that he will undergo surgery during the international break this November.

Ben White has undergone surgery to fix a joint problem, although there is no clear timetable for his return, but sources in England say he will not be out for too long.

Arsenal, who have not won any of their last four Premier League games, return to action against third-placed Nottingham Forest on November 23, before a Champions League trip to Sporting Lisbon three days later. They play away in November to West Ham before hosting United early next month.

Arsenal remain without new signing Riccardo Calafiori, who has missed the last five games with a knee problem. Jurrien Timber, who has been a regular at both right and left back, also had fitness issues in October, while Takehiro Tomiyasu has not played this season due to a knee problem.

The Areta were able to welcome back Martin Odegaard after three months out with an ankle injury, but Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka both had problems, and missed England's training camp this month.
