Despite Chelsea beating Tottenham 4-3, coach Enzo Maresca continues to insist that The Blues are not a candidate to win the EPL this season.

Chelsea let Tottenham down 2-0 after just 11 minutes, but then they scored four goals in quick succession to lead 4-2. Spurs added another goal in the final minutes of stoppage time, but the visitors still won 4-3 on aggregate.
With this result, Chelsea is currently ranked 2nd on the rankings. The Blues are only 4 points behind the leader Liverpool but have played 1 more game. The London team is currently 2 and 4 points ahead of Arsenal and Man City. With high form and 2nd place on the rankings, many experts call Chelsea a candidate for the championship.
However, coach Enzo Maresca does not think so, he said: “ Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool probably won’t slip… like Marc Cucurella did!. Seriously, we are not ready, we are far from these teams. We focus on each day and try to improve the team”.
Speaking about the victory over Tottenham, the Italian coach added: “In the first 15 minutes we did not play well, we made mistakes that allowed the opponent to lead 2-0. But Chelsea found their rhythm and inspiration after the first goal.
“Finding the equaliser in the first half was important, it allowed us to calmly develop our game. After that we created many chances and scored three more goals. They fought back but in the end we held on for the win. I’m happy with the result, but as I said, we need to keep improving.”
